Upload Non-Video Files

October 28th, 2008

<br />

You asked for it and now it’s here!  Now, in addition to simple upload of video clips to the MediaSilo platform, you can now upload and share other files, too.  We’ve added audio, image, document and program file upload to the feature set.  You’ll notice the subtle design change in your MediaSilo workspace that makes it easy to upload and share most any file within MediaSilo’s cost-effective video collaboration workflow.  See it in action with a simple online video tutorial.

“Incorporating audio, document, image and program file uploads demonstrates MediaSilo’s commitment to our customers,” says Kai Pradel, MediaSilo CEO.  “We’ve been working very closely with our subscribers in providing not only a multi-file asset management system that compliments the MediaSilo workflow, but one that provides a seamless, simple and logical user interface.”

This is a big step, regardless of our workflow applications.  Now, share headshots, scripts, resumes, spreasheets, and zip files with a few clicks.  From mainstream video production to casting, programming development, mainstream corporate communications, online and broadcast journalism or worship we think you’ll love the new feature.

Remember, non-video file upload is a feature we’ve added because of your input.  So, if you have suggestions, let us know.  Just email us at info@mediasilo.com.

Have you ever wondered – How does my editing software stack up? Am I on the right track? Do you struggle to discern the respective strengths of Liquid, Premiere, Vegas, Edius and FCP?

On Monday, October 20th, 7:30 PM at the Holiday Inn/Dedham, just outside of Boston, the National Professional Videographer’s Association of New England will host an Editing Software Showdown, sponsored by Avid, Adobe, Sony, Thomson/Grass Valley.

The Format:

Representatives from the 5 major editing softwares: Apple, Avid, Adobe, Sony and Thomson/Grass Valley will each have 20 minutes to present the most compelling attributes of their softwares. Additionally, each representative, will have 5 minutes to execute a project common to each software so that you the viewer can see the workflow and any qualitative differences.
