News Release: MediaSilo Unveils Aggressive Pricing Plans

July 31st, 2008

MediaSilo, the online suite of video collaboration, content management and broadcast tools has implemented a package of pricing plans which include unlimited storage and bandwidth for as little as $99 dollars a month. The company is also offering a free package for small users and those interested in sampling the MediaSilo product line.

The new price packages and service features are available at http://mediasilo.com.

“MediaSilo is about empowerment,” said Kai Pradel, CEO. “We think it’s time to eliminate storage and bandwidth concerns for our customers and allow them to focus on creativity and efficient workflows.”

The online suite of video tools in MediaSilo include a broad-based content management solution, extensive collaboration and user management tools (the core of the MediaSilo platform) and a highly effective, flexible, user-controlled broadcast solution. MediaSilo’s core customer base is video production and post-production. Major enterprise clients include TBS, Freemantle Media and Cirque du Soleil.

Dubbed the “Hollywood Package,” MediaSilo’s unlimited storage and bandwidth plan includes the three workspaces within the platform and two online media library players or “channels.”

“Our unlimited solution gives our customers total control of their assets,” Pradel said. “There’s simply no other package that offers more value.”

The company’s value-based pricing structure is expected to increase MediaSilo’s market share in applications outside mainstream video production.

“We’re seeing MediaSilo incorporated into a variety of workflows from heathcare to worship to electronic press kits,” Pradel added. “At $99 a month, we expect to see growth not only among producers and post houses, but in other applications as well.”

Bring a date and meet us at the Brattle

July 30th, 2008

Tonight (and tomorrow) MediaSilo will be hanging out at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Mass. Bring a date and come watch loads of short films produced by Boston teams during Diesel’s Film Race last weekend. The screening starts at 9PM EST (9:30 PM EST on Thursday) at 40 Brattle Street, Harvard Square Cambridge, MA 02138. We’ll be there to answer questions and give out MediaSilo coupons. If you’re lucky you’ll get a cool MediaSilo pen too.

We’re Nuts.

July 30th, 2008

Well, we did it. MediaSilo has taken a big leap of faith. We have incorporated the words “unlimited” and “free” into silospeak with brand new pricing plans on a brand new website. We’ve spent a lot of time talking with customers, potential customers, industry types, friends, family and random people in line at Starbucks. Then we made some changes.

NAB confirmed what we pretty much already knew. People love MediaSilo. We just want them to try it. We also wanted everything about our platform to be positive. No stress on bandwidth or storage. So for you stress bags out there, worry no more! Some people will think we’re nuts, but that’s okay. MediaSilo has always been about empowerment. Now you can get empowered, stress-free for $99 a month.

For smaller firms, we’ve got two great plans at $29 and $79 that can be customized a la carte. For samplers and those with simple needs, MediaSilo is now FREE. $29 a month?!! For complete content management, collaboration and web broadcast?!! That’s pocket change. Maybe we are nuts.

If this means a lower price for your current plan, consider it a “thanks” for your support. If our new pricing makes you want more, “thanks” to you, too. Just log onto your existing MediaSilo account and make the change.

It’s a big leap for us. So, tell your customers, friends, family and random people in line at Starbucks. And, “thanks!”

OMG, what stinks?

July 28th, 2008

California based OMG Media Group just finished a record weekend with MediaSilo at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. The production company specializes in time-sensitive Electronic Press Kit delivery and switched over to MediaSilo as their collaboration and distribution platform in March. You might have seen the video profile of them at the (Big Sur International Marathon.) More than 107,000 people turned out for the ‘08 Garlic Festival that celebrates “the stinking rose” (garlic) and serves tons and tons of garlic based dishes. OMG was challenged with getting video news from the event to broadcast television stations and networks in California and across the country. We got a quote from Jenny Russell from OMG. “MediaSilo rocked,” she said. Last year, using a different platform, OMG says it took them up to 3 hours to post broadcast quality video online for news distribution. Jenny says, “With MediaSilo, we had files up in minutes. And we actually got to eat this year!” Rock on you guys.

What are you doing tonight? Mix it up!

In fact, nearly everything we’ve added to MediaSilo’s powerful online video tool suite has been inspired or suggested by a loyal user. Consequently, you’re all we think about.

So, here’s the “shout out” call.
